FLUENCY TEXTS

The LA Intervention Project supports fluency in several ways: choral reading, silent reading, repeated reading, and strategy application in context. Below please find prepared units using grade-level texts.   

UNIT 1

UNIT 6 - 18

Units 6, 10 & 14 use the Beyond the Book Club novels with literate reader strategies handout.
For the other units (7-18) choose high-interest stories from the following resources:

Be sure to start with materials that are at each student's independent reading level, as the students are just beginning to read silently, which is more difficult for them. As they master silent reading, gradually move them into more challenging reading materials.
