COMPREHENSION CLASS SCHEDULE: FIRST 5 WEEKS
MINUTES PER DAY
Students complete one of the activities in that week's warm-up. If needed, one activity may stretch to two days.
Monday, teachers present the slides for the target comprehension strategy for the week. Tuesday through Friday, teachers present the theme vocab slides.
Most Dangerous Game (Abridged version)
Students work in teacher-led groups (3-5) to practice the target strategy.
Visualization using Technology
Spend the first 1-2 weeks mastering the basics of technology using the checklist. Then move on to visualization of narrative text with CAGES and TWICE.

One-on-one Reflective Learning Conferences
Students do presentations of their work products from the previous four class sessions. Extra points for using vocabulary words in their spoken presentation.
